Atherton who became secretary to the Principal at MSNS and Barbara Minnich from Hornberger's Hotel in Millersville. There are at least 2 signatures of young men who went on to fight in the Civil War: F.A. Matthews and Alexander A. McClurg (who died at the Battle of Fredericksburg on 13 December 1862).
