Includes store ledgers and receipt book covering the years 1875 to 1877 for the Edwards and Bishop Booksellers and Stationers store. Also includes the account ledgers of the Strasburg, Pa. farm managed by William B. Bishop from 1871 to 1901 and a ledger from the Quaker City Business College. Financial records, names of customers, items purchased and costs are included.

Content Description Journal of Elizabeth Soule, of her daily life and devotions to the church. She mentions hearing Bishop Hopkins speaking on the 25th of May 1855 (he was the Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese in Vermont). Along with her signature in the journal is her brother's, E.F. Putnam, when he was a student at the Episcopal Seminary in Arlington, Virginia. It appears that he began this journal to record alphabetically themed references to religious meditations. Emanuel M. Rohrbaugh WWI Letters

Scope and Contents The collection includes 14 letters dated from January 29, 1918 through January 26, 1919. Thirteen of the letters are from Emanuel Rohrbaugh to his nephew, John Rohrbaugh, a resident of the Brodbecks and Seven Valleys areas of York County, Pennsylvania. In the letters, Emanuel describes life in a military camp and in Le Havre, France, discusses girls, cars, and his memories of good times spent with his nephew, who was near to him in age.
