Transcription of lyrics to the Confederate song "The Homespun Dress" by Carrie Belle Sinclair which Private Lewis M. Prall heard sung while at Carver General Hospital in Washington D. C. Prall transcribed his version of the lyrics from memory on Aug. 4, 1864 while in Christiana, Pa.
