Breidenstine Hall houses the Art Department was named for Aaron G. Breidenstine (1955-1966), Dean of Instruction. It also houses the Swift Gallery named for Margaret Swift (1927-1958), a professor of art education, and the Sykes Gallery, named for Ronald E. Sykes (1956-1998), a professor of art and chairman of the department.
