Daybook and stock inventory documenting business sales records and inventory of Hensel's Hardware Store located in Quarryville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  The daybook describes daily transactions from August 17, 1892 through March 9, 1894, with some gaps in coverage.  Individual entries list the customer name, cash received, items purchased, item cost, and amount to be debited or credited to the customer's account.  The stock inventory, taken in 1896, lists items in stock, quantity, unit cost, and total value of each item stocked.  The inventory also values the store fixtures and provides a total valuation of the store stock and contents.  The collection also includes a piece of letterhead stationary with a series of names, numbers, and amounts listed on the back.
