From 1891 to 1913 this department was known as School Arts and taught bookkeeping, vocal music, special courses in music and penmanship. From 1913 ro 1920 it was known as the Commercial Branches Department and taught bookkeeping and penmanship as well as typing and shorthand. In 1920 it ceased to exist.
