This department was known as Professional Department from 1891 to 1913. It was then known as the Pedagogical Department from 1913 to 1914 and then the Pedagogy Department from 1914 to 1918. In 1918 it changed its name to Education and was known by this name until 1947 when the name was changed to Education and Psychology (1947-1967). After 1967 this department was divided to create 4 different department (See also RG5 B17, RG5 B18, RG5 B19 and RG5 B20).
