[b]Hobbs Hall[/b] a dormitory was originally named Tanger Hall for Landis Tanger (1929-1943), President of the College. In 1999 it was rededicated as Hobbs Hall, named for L.M. Hobbs (1854-1858), a teacher and one of the founders of the academy. He served as the first steward of the school.
