Summary Note

Engraving of portrait of Ippolito de'Medici, 1511-1535 by Chataigner, after Titian and adapted by Chasselas. He was made a cardinal in 1529 but in 1532 he joined the army of Charles V in Hungary to fight the Turks.  The painting was done with him wearing a Hungarian costume.  No. 41. Ecole Italine (Italian School).
