Receipt book (205 p. ; 22 cm.) contains receipts signed by members of the Lewisberry Society of Social Friends from July 16, 1847 to Dec. 28, 1861. Following the receipts are cures for sickness in horses attributed to Jacob F. Krone dated from the 1860's to 1878. A draft of a pension claim for Andrew Z. Brubaker of the 200th Pennsylvania Infantry is also included.

Scope and Contents Correspondence and poems. Contains correspondence from Lloyd Mifflin to Lancaster Pa. attorney William Uhler Hensel dated from 1905 to 1909.  Includes three unpublished poems by Mifflin dated 1910 and 1914.  Also includes a letter from George Wharton Pepper to Hensel thanking him for a book of Mifflin's sonnets. A poem by Edward Robeson Taylor inscribed "To Lloyd Mifflin on receiving from him a copy of his 'Flower and Thorn'" and apparently presented to Mifflin by Hensel is also part of the...

Diaries kept by Margaret Cameron, daughter of Simon Cameron, during her travels to the British Isles and Western Europe in 1857 (May 22-Sept. 28) and to Russia in 1862 (May 5-July 23). During the Russian trip, she accompanied her father who had been named ambassador to that country.
