Model School Building/Meyers Hall/Hash-Bassler Building, 1906-
Scope and Contents
Postcards of the Model School building, built in 1900 to serve pupils of the community as well as the students of the normal school for practice teaching. In 1968 it was rededicated as Myers Hall, named for Carrie E. Myers, an 1884 graduate of the normal school who joined the faculty of the Model School in 1885 and became its superintendent. She retired in 1923. In 1996 the building underwent major renovations and was dedicated as the Charles and Mary Hash Building.
