Biographical / Historical
A'Lelia Walker was born 6 June 1885 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She was an American businesswoman and patron of the arts. She was the only surviving child of Madam C.J. Walker, considered to be the first self-made millionaire woman in the U.S. She died 17 August 1931 in Long Brach, New Jersey.
