Biographical / Historical
Roy Wilkins was born 30 August 1901 in St. Louis, Missouri and was a prominent African-American civil rights activist from the 1930s to the 1970s, including leading the NAACP. He was graduated from the University Minnesota with a degree in sociology in 1923. He died 8 September 1981 in New York City.
