Biographical / Historical

Elizabeth Mary Landreaux Miles was born March 31, 1895 in New Orleans. She was a blues musician, singer, circus performer, minstrel show performer, and nightclub entertainer. She was amember of Benbow Stock Company and trevelled with Jones Brothers and Wilson Circus. She moved to New York City and made her first recording in 1922. She performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1958 and 1959. She died 17 March 1963 in New Orleans.
