Biographical / Historical
Richard Nathaniel Wright was born 4 September 1908 near Natchez Mississippi. He was an African-American novelist and author of novels, short stories, poems and non-fiction. Much of his literature involved the plight of the African Americans during the 19th to mid-20th centuries. He expatriated himself to Paris where he died 28 November 1960.
