Intemperance, 1873
Scope and Contents
2 handwritten copies entitled "Essay, Subject, Intemperance." Written on back of smaller copy: "Maggie Barton, April 12, 1873. wrote for the Paper." Smaller copy also has a blind stamp "Hampshire Paper Co." On the back of the composition on the larger paper is another composition entitled "Virtue." There is a blind stamp at the top of each page that says "Congress."
