Novelette. Illustrations by Orban. [i]Universe[/i] and  [i]Common Sense[/i] were published together in 1963 as [i]Orphans of the Sky[/i], a fixup novel. Appeared in the collected works [i]Off the Main Sequence: The Other Science Fiction Stories of Robert A. Heinlein[/i] (2005); and [i]The Future History of Robert Heinlein: Volume II[/i] (2010).
