Biographical / Historical

Earle Hyman, a stage, television and film actor, was born 11 October 1926 in Rocky Mounty, North Carolina. He made his Broadway stage debut in 1943 in [i]Run, Little Chillun[/i], and later joined the American Negro Theater. One of his best television roles was on the [i]Cosby Show[/i] as Russell Huxtable that earned him an Emmy nomination in 1986.
