Biographical information

Roy Adam Eaton, pianist, was born 14 May 1930. He won the first Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Award in June 1950 and made his American debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Chopin's F minor Concerto in 1951. He was drafted during the Korean Conflict and after being discharged began working with Young & Rubicam advertising as a composer/copywriter.  He was in a serious automobile accident in 1957 that killed his wife and left him in a coma for 6 days.  After his recovery he became V.P. Music Director of Benton & Bowles advertising.. In 1980 he launched is own production company and returned to concert performance.
