Charles Gilpin
Charles Sidney Gilpin was born 20 November 1878 in Richmond, Viriginia. He was an actor, singer and playwright. He joined one of the earliest black theatrical stock companies in New York, the Anita Bush Players in 1915. He was the first black actor to be nominated as one of the ten individuals who had done the most for American theater in 1920. He died 7 May 1930 in Eldridge Park, New Jersey.
Francis Bruguiere
American photographer, born 15 October 1879 in San Francisco, California. He was the official photographer of the New York theatre Guild. He died 8 May 1945 in Middleton Cheney, England.
