Biographical information
John Carlis was a painter, sculptor and designer who served as art editor for Opera News for a couple of years. He was born in 1917 in Chicago and died in 2003 in New York City. Throughout his life he lived in numerous places, including San Francisco. He also travelled throughout Europe and Kenya.
