Biographical information
An operatic mezzo-soprano, she was born 26 October 1936 in New Orleans and died 17 December 2001. She earned a Bachelor of Music in 1958 from Xavier University of Louisiana. She made her professional opera debut with the New York City Opera in the title role Carmen in 1958.
